The use of waste and the recovery of biomass is a strategic element to move towards a circular and low-carbon economy. Its industrial deployment presents relevant challenges such as the sustainable and scalable availability of biomass, the logistical efficiency of the supply chain, the technological adaptation of industrial processes, economic competitiveness compared to other energy alternatives, and the need for a stable regulatory framework that recognises its climate value.
The Repsol Foundation and the University of Castilla-La Mancha are organising this conference with the aim of promoting dialogue and collaboration around the use of waste and the recovery of biomass as levers for the energy transition and industrial competitiveness.
