The Chair on Waste Recovery and Biomass Valorisation aims to promote sustainable industrial transformation through the circular economy, waste recovery, and biomass valorisation, fostering knowledge generation, applied research, and dialogue among the various stakeholders involved.

The Chair was established with the ambition of becoming a platform for outreach, research, and public-private debate, focused on analysing the challenges and opportunities associated with the deployment of waste and biomass valorisation projects as drivers of decarbonisation, industrial innovation, and economic and social development.
