Reducing emissions and advancing towards climate neutrality have become strategic priorities for companies and public administrations committed to sustainability. In this context, measuring the carbon footprint constitutes an essential first step in understanding the climate impact of organisations and defining effective decarbonisation strategies. Among all areas of analysis, Scope 3 represents one of the greatest challenges due to the complexity of its calculation and its close connection to the value chain.
However, progressing towards decarbonisation requires going beyond measurement. Organisations must identify real opportunities for emission reductions, implement concrete decarbonisation actions, and integrate compensation mechanisms.
Within this framework, Applus+, in collaboration with Fundación Repsol, is organising this webinar with the aim of analysing, from a practical perspective, how organisations can advance the decarbonisation of their value chain. Throughout the session, the main challenges associated with Scope 3 will be examined, along with opportunities to reduce emissions through concrete actions, as well as the available alternatives to offset those emissions that cannot be eliminated. In addition, real experiences from public and private entities that are already making progress in this process will be shared.
