The bioeconomy is emerging as one of the key drivers for progressing towards a more sustainable, competitive and resilient Europe. The new strategy presented by the European Commission places renewable biological resources at the heart of the Union’s economic and climate transformation.

In this context, the seventh edition of the Conference Series “Towards a Circular Economy: Sustainable and Competitive Bioeconomy” focuses on the crucial role of the bioeconomy in accelerating decarbonisation, enhancing waste valorisation and strengthening energy security.

This new edition is organised into three webinars:

• - Session 1: “Bioeconomy: A Driver of Innovation and Employment” (Wednesday, 23 September, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
• - Session 2: “Market Development and Industrial Competitiveness of Bio-based Products” (Wednesday, 30 September, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
• - Session 3: “Bioeconomy and CCU: Utilisation of Captured CO₂” (Wednesday, 7 October, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)

This conference series will bring together experts and leading figures from institutional and business sectors, at both national and international levels, to explore real-world initiatives and analyse the opportunities created by this new landscape.
