Transport is responsible for up to 28.5% of CO2 emissions in the European Union. In this segment, aviation contributes to 13% of those emissions.
To meet the decarbonisation targets for this sector and align with the Paris Agreement, it is crucial to understand the pillars of decarbonization and to quantify the reduction of emission throughout the lifecycle of aircrafts. Energy efficiency and fuels with low or zero carbon footprint are fundamental, whether for general, commercial or military aviation.
The Energy Transition Chair of the Repsol Foundation at the Polytechnic University of Madrid is organising this webinar together with Ryanair and IATA to discuss these challenges and explore innovative solutions that can accelerate the decarbonisation of air transport, contributing to a more sustainable aviation.

Las soluciones circulares ocupan un papel protagonista en un momento en el que se están definiendo las bases de la nueva política industrial que deben desarrollar España y Europa para seguir avanzando hacia un modelo productivo climáticamente neutro que impulse la competitividad.
En el sector industrial, la circularidad permite aumentar el valor añadido y la productividad. Esto conlleva una reducción de costes productivos y la sustitución de insumos intermedios, incluidas las materias primas. Implica también una apuesta por el ahorro, la eficiencia energética y las energías renovables; y la reincorporación al proceso productivo de bienes. Asimismo, la mayor contribución de la economía circular a la industrialización es el rediseño de los procesos industriales desde la fase inicial, lo que conduce a modelos de negocio radicalmente diferentes.
