Chair in Energy Transition on the decarbonisation of industry
Roadmap for the transition to a competitive and fully decarbonised industry
The European Green Deal is a set of policies aimed at achieving climate neutrality in Europe by 2050. To achieve this ambition, the so-called Fit for 55 is being implemented, a set of measures that aim to reduce net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% compared to 1990 values by 2030. The decarbonisation of industry is a key pillar to achieve this goal, and the case of some energy-intensive industrial sectors is especially relevant, due to their high thermal demand at certain stages of their process.
