The necessary decarbonisation of the economy seeks to stop global warming to allow human sustainable development and is normally perceived as a source of challenges for the economic sectors. The Energy Transition Education and Research Program that the Repsol Foundation has recently promoted at the Comillas Pontifical University aims to convert these challenges into opportunities for the industrial sector, in which it seeks to set out measures to reduce its carbon footprint.
