Green hydrogen is being postulated as the great renewable alternative for meeting climate targets, enabling Europe to become energy sovereign. To achieve this goal requires proven technology and consensus, but there is still a long way to go before hydrogen is installed on a large scale in our society.
Spain's potential to be Europe's hydrogen hub is high, thanks to its industrial capacity and robust infrastructure network, but above all due to the competitive advantage of its geographical and climatic position for renewable generation, intimately linked to hydrogen development. In this context, transport and distribution are key, although there are still many uncertainties about the most appropriate alternative to bring hydrogen to the final customer.
The Repsol Foundation Chair of Energy Transition at the University of Navarra is organizing this conference to discuss the route towards the hydrogen society and to highlight the most relevant advances in the field of transport and distribution.
