Over the next 30 years, global waste generation is expected to grow by 70% due to rapid urbanization and population growth. The inadequate management of this waste harms human health in local environments while exacerbating the challenges posed by climate change.

Proper waste management is essential to building a circular economy, where products are designed and optimized for reuse and recycling.

The Repsol Foundation Chair of Energy Transition at the University of the Basque Country is organizing this event with the aim of discussing the opportunities offered by the revaluation of waste as secondary materials for the manufacture of other products, through different visions of the waste value chain.
