Have you ever wondered how we can effectively reduce CO2 emissions?

The high concentration of greenhouse gases generated by human activities has led to a global mobilization in search of solutions. In this context, negative emissions technologies (NET) emerge as an opportunity to achieve climate goals.

This study explores various innovative solutions to capture and remove CO2 from the atmosphere. From direct air capture (DAC) to bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), these technologies promise to significantly reduce our carbon footprint. Direct air capture, for example, uses advanced techniques to separate CO2 from the air, offering a flexible and adaptable solution to different environments.

Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of combining these technologies with natural approaches such as reforestation and ecosystem restoration. These methods not only help to absorb CO2, but also promote biodiversity and environmental health. However, the implementation of these technologies faces technical and economic challenges that require further research and development.

Negative emissions technologies represent a key element in the fight against climate change. The adoption and expansion of these innovations could transform our ability to mitigate environmental impact and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
